National Bike Summit

Every year, Bike Walk Tennessee organizes a statewide delegation to travel to Washington D.C. for the National Bike Summit. The Summit offers an opportunity for Tennessee advocates to network with other advocates from across the nation, and learn more about the latest developments in policy, infrastructure, and educational programs across the United States. The National Bike Summit also provides participants with an opportunity to talk with members of Congress about federal policy.

Tennessee has been participating in the National Bike Summit since its inception in 2001, with participants representing their constituencies across the state of Tennessee.

The 23rd Annual National Bike Summit will take place Sunday, March 26 - Wednesday, March 29, 2023

The 2023 National Bike Summit will once again be a hybrid event. All Summit attendees will participate in sessions, plenaries, and keynotes virtually, with daily online programming beginning at 1pm ET / 10am PT. Additionally, in-person Summit attendees will have the option to take part in non-virtual group rides, workshops, and other networking opportunities. On Wednesday, March 29, participants will take part in Lobby Day to meet with their representatives in Congress. Online attendees should only expect to participate in Lobby Day meetings virtually if are no in-person attendees representing their district or state.

Bike Walk Tennessee would like to see a strong representation of Tennesseans at the Summit, and encourages everyone invested in making our state a better place to bike and walk to attend.
