Every year, Bike Walk Tennessee organizes a statewide delegation to travel to Washington D.C. for the National Bike Summit. The Summit offers an opportunity for Tennessee advocates to network with other advocates from across the nation, and learn more about the latest developments in policy, infrastructure, and educational programs across the United States. The National Bike Summit also provides participants with an opportunity to talk with members of Congress about federal policy.
Tennessee has been participating in the National Bike Summit since its inception in 2001, with participants representing their constituencies across the state of Tennessee.
Bike Walk Tennessee was proud to join advocates from Tennessee and across the country at the 23rd Annual National Bike Summit!
The 2023 National Bike Summit was a hybrid event with fantastic opportunities to participate in sessions, plenaries, and keynotes as well as group rides, workshops, and other networking opportunities. Advocacy Day was on March 29, where advocates from across the state met with members of Congress to discuss issues important to bicycling safety.
Bike Walk Tennessee would like to thank everyone from across the state who participated in the event, and we look forward to the 2024 National Bike Summit!
