There are many ways to reach the University of Tennessee Conference Center (600 Henley St #313, Knoxville, TN 37902), and we encourage Summit attendees to walk, bike, or take public transportation.
Borrowing or Renting a Bike
There will be a fleet of bikes available for attendees to borrow for the bike ride on Thursday, November 14. If you would like to borrow a bike for the ride, please reach out to Bike Walk Tennessee Chief Administrative Officer Lindsey Kimble at [email protected] beforehand, so that we can ensure we have a bike in your size set aside for you. All ride participants are required to wear a helmet, so please plan to bring your own or let an event organizer know you will need to borrow one so that we can provide one for you.
If you are interested in renting a bike to use on Friday, November 15 for the conference, there are a few options available. You can check out this great article from Visit Knoxville with several different options available in Knoxville. Depending on where you are staying, The Knoxville Adventure Collective will likely be the most convenient rental opportunity because of its location in downtown Knoxville, making it an easy ride to the UT Conference Center. They have both mountain bike and greenway/town bike rentals available.
Riding the Bus
The University of Tennessee Conference Center is served by KAT Route 1 (Downtown Connector). On Fridays, busses run every 12 minutes from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. You can learn about how to ride the bus, find information about fares, and get help planning your trip at katbus.com.
Parking
If you will be driving to the Summit, parking will be available at the Locust Street Garage (540 Locust Street SW, Knoxville, TN 37902). You can enter the garage from either Locust Street or Walnut Street. When you check in for the Summit, let us know you’re parked in the Locust Street Garage and you will be provided with a card to validate your parking. If you would prefer to park someplace else, there are plenty of parking options in downtown Knoxville. However, please note that parking will only be validated at the Locust Street Garage. Summit attendees choosing to park at another location will be responsible for any parking fees.
To reach the Summit, you will enter the University of Tennessee Conference Center building from Locust Street - you will be on the 2nd Floor. Follow the signs to the elevators to get to the Conference Center on the 4th Floor where you can check in and be directed to the Summit conference space!
